David and Edwin were very efficient and knowledgable, they eventually found two fried outlets in different rooms that i didn’t think would be related to the bad circuit. I had an emergency situation and Edwin, the owne, came out within several hours and diagnosed and fixed the problem. I am impressed with his knowledge. He explained what the problem was and how he would fix it. He is very professional. Polite and efficient in getting the task done timely. In addition his rates are competitive and very reasonable considering this was an emergency. (The air conditioner technician could not figure out why the unit was not working and told me to call an electrician… air temp at that time was high 90’s.) Edwin diagnosed the problem accurately. The air conditioning company followed his correct diagnosis.

We have sloped ceilings and he installed it perfectly! We also needed a few new outlets. All of the work was done efficiently, quickly and with precision and at a good price. Wow! Edwin was very professional, knowledgable, and reliable. We called him about a seemingly difficult project in our backhouse, and he was able to come out the same week and fix it in just a day! I called yesterday because I was having problems replacing a 3 way bathroom fan, and today it is fixed and working great, Nice electrician and fair price. I will certainly call them in the future.

I had several electrical wiring problems and was readying my house for inspection and sale. I needed some competent electrical services immediately and texted Fast Handy Electric early in the morning. David Escobar and Edwin Sanchez arrived in their fully equipped service van within an hour. They quickly diagnosed and repaired several issues. I told them I was preparing for an inspection and they walked through my house, checking everything. They fixed a number of problems, that required installation of conduit and replacement of all exterior GFIs as well as a hidden junction box that had a broken ground wire.

On a Friday night I needed an electrician and after calling a number of “24 hour” companies that went directly to voice mails I called Fast Handy and Edwin answered. We discussed my problem on the phone and he said he would be at my home in 45 minutes. Right on time he arrived. An hour and half later he had identified and fixed the problem. He was extremely professional and his demeanor could not have been better. He was upbeat, friendly, and kept me informed of each step he was taking. I have NEVER had such a positive experience with a contractor in my 60 years. I will use Edwin again and I will recommend my friends and family without hesitation. Lastly, if there was a way to give 10 stars I would do it in a flash. He was that good.

This is the most knowledgeable electrician that I’ve dealt with he knows every area of electrical nothing is too big for him he has done work for me in my home and also business so he knows both residential and commercial but I am very pleased with his service and rates.

They were the first to respond to my inquiry, came out the same day, and fixed the majority of my problems within an hour.
I’m a new homeowner and I’ve never called an electrician before. I’m pretty DIY and started taking apart all the outlets to replace in my house. When i broke a copper wire i knew i needed help.
Ariel came and looked at the situation and said this was common in older homes which made me feel good he’s seen this before. I really appreciated his approach to show me what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what not to do. I highly recommend him!

I hired Fast Handy Electric to help me reconfigure my Sense smart electricity monitor to observe my home’s energy usage via the 400A split service main panel. The Sense monitor can only read two sets of sensor leads at a time, but my panel is more of a 200-100-100 split, so I could only monitor two of the three subpanels at any one time.
The support team at Sense recommended that, if it were legal to do so, I could place only one set of sensor leads at the power mains in my panel, which resides on the non-serviceable meter side of my main panel. That side is not only marked as “CONTAINS NO SERVICEABLE PARTS” but also has a twisted wire through the bolt securing the panel that serves as a tamper indicator.
Though I am perfectly cable of opening that side of the panel myself, I was not prepared to accept any liability for having done so. Hence, I hired an electrician, more for the licensure/insurance than for the help.
Edwin (the business owner) was properly masked and very friendly, and we discussed my options after he had had a look at the panel configuration. As I feared, PG&E can fine someone for “tampering” with the meter side of an electrical panel, so getting permission beforehand would be the safest way to proceed if we were to do that. However, Edwin has installed several Sense monitors before mine, and he had a better idea.
Edwin was able to take the wires from both 100A subpanels (two each) and fit two wires of identical polarity within each sensor clamp, causing Sense to monitor it as a single 200A circuit. The configuration was an extremely tight fit in the box, but it did fit and completely works! No need to worry about PG&E now — I can fully monitor my home’s electricity usage from the serviceable side of the panel.
I would be glad to use Fast Handy Electric for my electrical needs in the future.

Also went the extra mile to explain the root cause and how to avoid similar problems in the future. Would love to rehire in the future.

They arrived on time and quickly got the project started.
The old panel was removed, wiring cleaned up, drywall opened, and new panel installed. The installation was done proper, to code and looks CLEAN!
I also requested adding a breaker+wire conduit for a future Tesla EV charger, which was no problem for Edwin and bro.

I had a problem with my main circuit breaker that knocked the power out of the entire house. They arrived within half hour, and sent text updates of their arrival time while enroute. The technician resolved the issue very quickly, and spent some time assisting me with additional questions regarding my receptacles in an old house. He went above and beyond by not just doing the work but explaining the work to me. It’s clear that he’s passionate about his work. Such type of service is hard to find these days.

He got the job done very quickly. Would highly recommend.

Called this morning and Clifford immediately came out to diagnose and fix an issue we were having where one of our bedrooms lost power. He implemented a quick fix and went to the store immediately to get parts for a permanent fix. I found fast handy electric on Yelp and am so glad I went with them due to the great reviews. We were able to get our issue resolved professionally and quickly. Clifford also walked us through all of the steps and options. Our puppy also loved him. Can’t recommend this local business enough – they also have a 24/7 emergency service too and are insured and bonded!

Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year, when I had family coming into town! I called an HVAC repairman, who came by and said the problem was in the wiring and told me I needed an electrician. It was after 7 PM, but Edwin stopped by my place on his way home and almost immediately was able to diagnose a problem the AC repairman had overlooked. Crisis averted! Edwin’s polite, friendly, family oriented and doesn’t try to bulls- his way through if he doesn’t know an answer. HIGHLY recommend!

I was able to get a same-day appointment to have a burnt out outlet looked at and replaced. Clifford (the NICEST guy!) showed up and got the job done quickly. He was also able to give me an estimate on a panel upgrade that we will definitely be hiring Fast Handy Electric to do for us.

In San Jose, last night around 6 pm we discovered our Master Bedroom and Bath were without electricity. The breaker had blown. Wouldn’t reset. Looked on Yelp for 24 hr. electrician with 5 stars and found a great electrician who was here by 7 PM. Yes, it was slightly expensive but worth it. He couldn’t find problem last night in 2 hours. He narrowed it down. Oh, affected the furnace/AC too.
Back this morning and Clifford said that he woke up at 4 AM thinking about where the problem was. He checked every plug in 2 rooms, hallway and bathroom as well as crawl space. Finally found the problem. Very simple to fix once he found it. Was punctual, went the extra mile and was very pleasant.

Mask and super respectful. Fixed two faulty outlets and a defective circuit breaker on our panel. Quick diagnosis as he really knows his stuff. Everything fixed in first visit. I sent messages to several electricians on YELP, and Fast Handy responded very quickly, and their rates were the most reasonable. I spoke to Kelley, who does the scheduling and he provided excellent customer service on the phone, and scheduled my install of 9 different lights (dining room, pendant, sconces, and ceiling fans).
He told me that Edwin would do an excellent, professional job, and he did. He was very knowledgeable and efficient, and all my lights were installed perfectly and look great! I’m very pleased with their work and recommend them highly to anyone looking for a good electrician.

The electricity stopped working in the morning of a desperately hot holiday weekend.
We Found this fellow in Yelp, sent a message and included our phone number to shorten the time for communicating our problem.
The guy who arrived a few hours later (a Saturday on a long weekend) was smart, experienced and very quickly determined that a faulty-wired safety socket in the bathroom was closing down everything down the continued line.
Btw A socket like that is not supposed to have any other connections down the line! It’s been like that for 22 years!
Anyway once he expertly diagnosed the issue, he took care of it all. Absolutely awesome and we are so grateful he had time for us.

We needed additional electrical outlets in our older Santa Clara home… We put this project off for years – even with breakers tripping, RV electrical meltdowns, running on too many extension cords and power strips – what an unsafe mess!
Finally we called around for quotes and selected Fast Handy Electric based on their customer service, time to deliver and a very good price. We were not disappointed…

Our RV now has a dedicated 30 amp outlet, the yard now has an outlet for leaf blower, etc… The appliances in the outdoor kitchen can all be used at the same time and will never again trip the breaker – not to mention our inside kitchen now has additional outlets for safety and on both sides of the room! We also have a new nifty garbage disposal button right on the sink that uses air to start incinerating – didn’t even know that existed!
Additional power added to the living room for all of the TV associated gizmos, and safety GFIs in all bathrooms and kitchens. All of this was installed in less than 12 hours over 2 days.
The Guys are knowledgeable in their trades; fast and thorough; clean; polite and also fix related items that are broken, like the dishwasher air gap.
I know we’re now the only older Santa Clara home owners that suffer from aged electrical issues. If you’re still putting up with the same frustrations we were – it’s time to call Fast Electric. If not, we have plenty of unused and unneeded extension cords and power strips if anyone needs one.

These guys are NOT money hungry people. They provide great service at a reasonable price. I live in San Jose in a condominium, my wife and I moved in about 8 months ago still getting familiar with the place. We had an issue with the doorbell box inside, down the hallway where it was making a loud sound all of the sudden today for hours and it never made that sound before!
I typed in electrician in Yelp and saw these guys were 5 star and quick, so I gave them a call. Luckily the GM Kelly answered the phone and helped me out. Instead of charging a couple hundred dollars and sending someone out for no reason, he decided to save me time and money and help me over the phone for FREE!
He could have easily handled this different. Instead he gave me his personal number where I sent him a video of what was going on, he viewed the video and quickly diagnosed. He instructed me what to do over the phone simply and easy within a couple minutes the problem was solved! Free of charge, very professional, and its clear their goal is to help people and help people fast. Of course for a bigger job or something that cant be done easily they’ll do the course like any normal company would, but what I really appreciated was they did not try to milk me for cash instead they were practical and legitimately wanted to help me, and at least tried over the phone and it was successful!
If I ever have any needs in the future I’m calling these guys, they are definitely the Good Fellas.

Even though it was the first day of his vacation, Kelley came out to replace my porch light fixture and check another outdoor light fixture to make sure it was safe. Got a hold of Fast Handy electric to look into replacing an unsafe outdoor outlet that was installed by the previous home owner.
Their quote was competitive, and the fact that they were very responsive to my questions made me go with them. Their work was great, clean and quick and had the patience to answer a bunch of my random questions. I highly recommend them. We had a power outage last night and when the powder came back, several of our outlets didn’t resume functioning correctly. “Fast Handy Electric” is the perfect name for this business. Mr. Sanchez was able to come in the same day we called him. He gave us a 30 minute windows and arrived right on time… with a mask on! Big plus! He was kind and effective. He came right in and took care of our problem very “fast”. He also saw that one of my vents (completely unrelated to the service call) was lose. He asked if I had a stole and even took care of that. The first said it’d be 5 or so weeks. Fast Handy said, “sure, we’ll get you taken care of”. I felt like I was most valuable customer right from the start. The same day I asked for the quote Kelley came by and did a walk through. Less than an hour later I had a quote in my inbox. I felt it was fair and competitive – especially since I wouldn’t be waiting weeks for the work to begin. That is absolutely worth something to me as well. Within 36 hours of accepting the quote, they had one of their finest at my house in the morning to get started. He made sure to understand the intent of each task such that I was confident he could operate unattended. When questions (or suggestions) came up, he brought them to my attention. The work was done efficiently and professionally. Nothing but good things to say about each of the tasks completed – plus the whole job finished a bit faster than I thought it would.
There was a problem I discovered after the electrician left however. All of the power in my downstairs bathrooms was out! I knew it had to do with something that was worked on though those rooms weren’t ones that had work done. Thirty minutes after contacting the company the owner himself, Edwin, was in the house troubleshooting. It didn’t take long for him to find a loose wire cap in one of the new switch panels down the hall that was causing the problem. This also went far faster than I imagined it would. In addition Kelley followed up with phone calls to be sure things went well through the day.
These guys really care about each job and the quality of their work. They are serious about correcting any issues that arise – in a very timely manner. I definitely recommend them to myself for future work and anyone else that will listen.

Edwin and his crew at Fast Handy Electric did a couple of jobs for us. One job was to route new wiring and install a 240 VAC electrical outlet in the back bedroom. The second was to install 2 outdoor outlets and a switch onto a gazebo that we had just installed in our backyard patio.

We setup time with Edwin the owner for 5pm but he ended up being able to come earlier than expected! Edwin was a pleasure to work with, professional and quick! He took his shoes off when he got in the house and even came back to double check an outlet for us the next day. Edwin practiced social distancing and wore a mask during his visit to our home. He also made it clear that he would not touch our personal belongings due to COVID-19 regulations, so thoughtful! The lights in my garage went dark a couple of days ago but turned on again the next morning only to turn off again as the day went on. Other lights on the same circuit breaker, however, continued to work normally. Clifford came within a couple of hours of my calling Fast Handy Electric. After checking the circuit breaker box for any issues, he proceeded to go into the attic space and tighten all the connections in the junction boxes where the problem was occurring. This fixed the problem. (It must have been over 100F in the attic area.) He later explained to me that years of thermal cycling can cause connections to loosen and cause problems. I appreciate his experience, troubleshooting skills and dedication. I can highly recommend Fast Handy Electric and will call them again.

Getting on the schedule was a bit of a challenge, but they were very responsive and once it came time for the appointment the technician (Edwin) showed up following appropriate safety precautions and installed a number of smart switches very quickly. He also fixed some bad wiring that resulted from my own prior attempts to handle it. Price was very fair!

I gave Edwin a call regarding some questions about portable generators in case of an emergency and he was extremely friendly, personable, and helpful over the phone. He was willing to chat with me and answer all my questions, while being direct, open and honest – everything you’re looking for when dealing with someone for these types of jobs. I needed to have an electrical outlet moved before the delivery of a new refrigerator. I called at 2:00 and the work was complete by 4:00. No kidding about fast and handy! I give this business my highest recommendation!

Edwin was amazing! He found the issue, explained the issue, showed me the issue, then fixed it.
We called them on a Sunday, as we had an intermittent issue that had gotten much worse: Everything made the lights flicker and the power drop. They were out within the hour, and fixed it quickly.
Edwin’s troubleshooting skills and mindset are top notch: He came up with an initial diagnosis, TESTED his diagnosis, and determined that it was actually a different issue. Many places would have just gone with their first idea, and we would still have been broken, so I’m extremely impressed.
As one might expect, a Sunday service call was more expensive, but it was still a lot cheaper than another company that I called–and very reasonable–and they helped me work through whether or not we could wait. We weren’t comfortable waiting, so out they came, and we will sleep better tonight!

They helped set up our home network, with a combination of fiber, copper cabling, and 3 point WiFi, in record time. They also coordinated the trenching needed to pass new conduits and re-wired the garage.

My house needed a new switch for our chandelier in our dining room and Edwin and his brother got it done within minutes. The other problem was that part of the house had no power even though the outlets had power going to them. Edwin spent about an hour and half looking into the problem by going under the house, taking out all the outlets etc. Edwin finally had an idea that it was a bad connection coming from a light above our sink. The problem was then fixed! Since our house is over 40 years old, the wiring is different than the modern homes from what Edwin stated. My dad and I were very pleased at the service as Edwin and his brother busted their asses off for us! Overall the price was really reasonable and Edwin will be our main electrician for years to come!

We had a serious troubleshooting problem with some wiring that was not up to code. Half of our kitchen was out. All lights, appliances, and outlets. I reached out to Edwin (owner) at Fast Handy Electric for emergency electric work. He was very responded immediately. He told me it would be $200 for any work. I had many things which needed repair. He arrived at my home right away and did all repairs. In addition, he said he would return the following week to help me with an electric pump for my water fountain. He said he would order the part and return to install at no charge!!! My husband had been looking for a speciality light bulb and couldn’t find it anywhere. Edwin said he knew where to find it. I was scared to call an electrician to fix the wiring in our detached garage so I delayed calling someone for a couple years. We inherited a maze of wires when we bought this house and I could not figure out what was wrong. I finally called Fast Handy Electric and was asked to text my address. We needed help running cables for WIFI in our new clinic. But we needed to do it at night so we wouldn’t disturb our patients. I got up last Sunday morning and my all bathroom plugs were not working. I called First Handy Electric and explained my problem. Edwin Sanchez understood my problem and arrived at my home to work on the problem in 25 minutes. Just outstanding for 8:30 am on a Sunday morning. I was able to schedule an appointment right away to have additional coax cable installed in two rooms. The cable was run in the crawl space and he was quick and efficient. I don’t see how I could have found a better electrician for my subpanel upgrade and outlets troubleshooting and repair. Edwin came the night before the job was scheduled to make sure he’d have everything he needed to do the work. He brought his new employee, a journeyman electrician, and they finished two hours faster than they had originally estimated. When I initially called about an iffy switch in my kitchen, he suggested to send him a picture so he could pin-point what could be done. I had an emergency situation and Edwin, the owne, came out within several hours and diagnosed and fixed the problem. I am impressed with his knowledge. He explained what the problem was and how he would fix it. He is very professional. Polite and efficient in getting the task done timely. In addition his rates are competitive and very reasonable considering this was an emergency. (The air conditioner technician could not figure out why the unit was not working and told me to call an electrician… air temp at that time was high 90’s.) Edwin diagnosed the problem accurately. I got respond from this service in just 30 min, even it was on Sunday. They found a way to squeeze my order on Monday. The job was done in 30-40 mins. I like everything, except it is over priced for a small job.

I found Fast Handy Electric on yelp and called them. They walked through me the problem over the phone and gave me suggestions to right away. It turned out that there is the fix is as simple as turn off the break all the way and turn it back on. I’m very happy that the problem is fixed so quickly and they don’t charge me anything! On a Sunday evening, my sub panel started arking and giving out static currents. Edwin came over, diagnosed the problem and set up the appointment next morning to replace the sub panel which was an old Zinsco sub-panel. I could write a long story about our emergency, but I will do it short and to the point – it was one of the best services! Why?
#1 – Prompt. Edwin was the only one (comparing to other companies where we had to leave the VM) who picked up a phone and talked to us. He and David came to our house on the same day in the afternoon.
#2 – Professional. The guys quickly assessed the damage and situation, offered the solution and an estimate.
#3 – QUALITY. David and Edwin came the next day in the morning, changed the blown up electric panel to the new one. It’s just one sentence, but it means A LOT of work, including cutting the wall for the new dimensions and patching the same wall, so in the end, it looks like nothing ever happened here.

He came out to give us an estimate. In addition to the outlet, he noticed an older outdoor outlet that was not up to code and offered to replace that as well. The price was reasonable and he actually did that job that day. He was neat, clean and the job was done really well! It was a pleasure doing business with him. I highly recommend him!

We had a follow up issue, I thought it was related to the original issue that Edwin had fixed the week before but wasn’t able to address the first time because my daughter was napping in that room. it turned out it was a seperate issue but Edwin came out free of charge, on a Saturday, to check it out. he fixed it quickly and was on his way. He also does everything with a smile and great attitude. Great guy I highly recommend.

I recently moved in with my boyfriend and at his house there is a notorious outlet that never works and everyone has given up hope on it. I consider myself pretty good at home improvements so I thought it would be an easy “replace the outlet receptor with another one” job but…. When we took off the case and old receptor it was ALL black on the walls/hole… meaning this has caught on fire before. All the wires are toasted and break off if you
Barely touch it. The ground wires and other wires were TWISTED together with no insulation and wire caps, no wonder this had caught on fire! IN my opinion, all the wires were past the point of saving. Anyways I wrap them up with electrical tape and ignore until an electrician can come next week BUT THEN ALL POWER IN THE HOUSE WENT OFF, It was already midnight and I felt so bad for my boyfriends family. although I couldn’t understand just HOW I caused this. I try calling every 24 hour electrician on Yelp with no reply, and I have this grave feeling that this outlet is going to cause a fire again in our sleep, finally I call this company and they were here in 15 minutes!! And they gave the price upfront and were super patient with explaining to me what went wrong (if two wires were pushed up again the wall a BLUE SPARK would catch on fire bc the wiring from the old owners was so BAD. He solved everything and showed me the breaker and the panel and not only brought power back to the house but also replaced the outlet and the bad wiring AND safely insulated the old janky wiring with good nugs and overall our house isn’t going to catch on fire anymore! I had recently purchased a house and the existing breaker panel was in dire condition and needed replacement. I took this opportunity to upgrade the service to 200A. I called around a few different companies and found Edwin from Fast Handy Electric to be the most responsive. He also gave a competitive price to replace the panel. In all, I hired Edwin to replace the panel, add grounding to numerous outlets, add ceiling lights in the bedrooms, and also installed numerous smart switches. He and his brother were fast and efficient in their work. Would highly recommend and rehire them in the future.

What a relief! Called Fast Handy Electric and within a short amount of time Edwin and his assistant were at my door to investigate and fix our wiring issues. They were extremely capable, friendly and reasonably priced. My huband was shown the faulty wiring and they were able to fix it right away. No more flickering lights and low power in our bedrooms! One of the jobs is electrical installation. That being said, I bought a new milling machine and air compressor that needed 220 installed in my garage. I found Edwin on yelp and gave him a call to come out and give me a bid. Edwin came to my house right away and checked out what I needed. My wife also had some lights and the plug that she wanted installed. Edwin is a fantastic electrician! He is very knowledgeable, personable, actionable and very detail oriented. While he was up in my attic running some wires he noticed that someone had left a bare hot wire exposed. He took care of that at no charge protecting me and my family from a possible attic fire. What an awesome Guy. Not only did he fix the error, he noticed that my machine in my garage didn’t have adequate light so he suggested installing LED lights above my work station. So he came back the next day with all the equipment needed to install LED and had the job completed in no time at all. He is a very reasonable Electrician with regards to price. One more thing, when he was in my boys room installing the plug, he noticed one of the baseboards was loose. He came up to me and asked if I would mind if he took his power nail gun and fasten the baseboard. Edwin goes above the job. I have been looking for a good electrician for about a year. Now I’m happy to say that I have my electrician and his name is Edwin! I would highly recommend Edwin to all my family and friends. I called FAST Handy electric at 6 AM the next day, and they were at our house in 10 minutes. Edwin and his assistant were great people. They got the job done quickly, they were finished with what needed to be done on our end before PG&E was able to show up and reconnect power. I was very impressed with their service. Called a reputable electrician, who came out to my home and indicated that it was a light fixture in the bathroom. Suggest I buy another light fixture and they would install it. Which they did, I asked if that was the problem and they said yes. WRONG!!!! The flickering lights continued until Finally I called Fast Handy. They came out and immediately found that the problem was in the panel, one of the circuit breakers was hot and loose. No hesitation, problem fixed. Theses guys were awesome, I fact they also installed new smoke alarms in my home.

I couldn’t find an electrician that would come that late at night. Our regular electricians were closed and I could only leave voicemails. They opened at 7 AM in the morning. However, our refrigerator had no power and I wanted to get it fixed right away I called Fast Handy Electric and Edwin picked up the phone immediately. I explained my emergency and he told me the price. I agreed to the price and Edwin said he was on his way. AlI I had to do was text him our address. We had a partial outage and they arrived at the promised time. At the same time, PG&E was also there checking if the problem was on their end. Within a few minutes the two were able to detect the problem source. They told us that PG&E will fix the issue and if we still have a problem after that to call them as they were available on call.

They take pride in their work, and follow through on all their promises. Their prices are also extremely fair. They replaced our sub-panel and fixed some issues caused by our kitchen installers. They had to make several visits to our house, and every time they were friendly and informative. Working with these guys was a pleasure.

Working with Fast Handy Electric to get the charging station installed in my home was the best decision I could’ve made. I got several quotes from a variety of other services but A’s was the most reasonable. In terms of the total cost of installation along with getting the permit from the city, A had the lowest between the three different companies I was considering. The other companies asked for detailed photographs and a lot of additional information, but A kept the entire process simple, streamlined, and convenient for me. Would 100% recommend!

I work in a school that is very old and needs a lot of TLC while upgrading and repairing the existing electrical and network infrastructures. Edwin and Martin have been there for us when we needed quality, safe work, and they are my go-to crew. I have been using Martin for a number of years for both low-voltage and mains wiring projects, and his work is always first-rate. Edwin came to work on a major remodel we had to do this Summer, and between the two of them they handled everything I could throw at them, even fixing the shoddy work of previous contractors. Edwin came to fix two old fluorescent lights in our kitchen and entryway and did a very neat and clean job of it.
